Madcon as the headliner on the Main Stage
Madcon is the latest international act to be confirmed for the main stage. Together with the previously announced Zoe Wees, Sommernachtstraum 2026 now presents a lineup that combines emotional pop moments, international fame, and danceable festival energy.
Global hits, big stage, maximum energy
Since the early 2000s, Madcon have been known for a sound that blends rap, pop, soul, and dance with an instantly infectious energy. Tshawe Baqwa and Yosef Wolde-Mariam have made a name for themselves far beyond Norway with songs like “Beggin’,” “Glow,” “Don’t Worry,” “One Life,” and “Freaky Like Me.” Their music is made for big festivals, open skies, and that moment when the crowd can no longer stand still.
With six albums, numerous platinum certifications, six Spellemann Awards, and a World Music Award, Madcon ranks among the most successful Norwegian musical exports of the past decades. By the time “Beggin’” was released, the duo had firmly established themselves on the international scene. “Glow,” in turn, became one of those pop moments at the Eurovision Song Contest that radiate far beyond the stage.
Halbinsel-Stage: Caribou and Cosmica Bandida
While the main stage hosts the big pop moments, the Peninsula Stage becomes a gathering place for everyone looking for electronic energy, global influences, and an open-air club vibe at the Sommernachtstraum. Caribou is one of the most influential live acts on the international electronica scene. His shows move between warm electronic soundscapes, driving rhythms, and moments where the concert and dance floor merge seamlessly.
Cosmica Bandida complements the program with psychedelic cumbia grooves, disco synths, and cosmic textures. The Colombian-German duo brings its own musical flair to the peninsula, perfectly matching the special atmosphere between the Olympic Lake and the evening sky.
Festival Vibes Meet Fireworks
The Sommernachtstraum has been one of the highlights of Munich’s event calendar for years. At Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz and on the peninsula, visitors can once again look forward to a diverse open-air program in 2026. Add to that street food, a summery atmosphere, and countless vantage points for the magical highlight of the evening: the grand pyrotechnic show over the Olympiasee, precisely choreographed to the music, which transforms the night sky into a colorful sea of lights.
