First star announced for Sommernachtstraum 2026: Zoe Wees will perform at Munich's Olympic Park.

When music, summer vibes, and a spectacular fireworks display come together at the Olympic Lake on July 18, it’s time for the Sommernachtstraum in Munich once again. Hamburg-based artist Zoe Wees has now been confirmed as the first major act for this open-air highlight in the Olympic Park. Wees is one of the most successful German pop singers of her generation on the international stage. For over two decades, the Sommernachtstraum has combined live music, festival vibes, and one of Germany’s most impressive pyrotechnic shows into an experience for all the senses. Tickets for the event are already available for advance purchase.

A Voice with Global Appeal
With Zoe Wees, the Sommernachtstraum is bringing an artist to Munich who, like few others, embodies emotional honesty, global appeal, and iconic pop moments. Since her debut single “Control,” in which she spoke openly about panic attacks and mental struggles, the now 23-year-old has emerged as a globally recognized voice. According to international statistics, “Control” has now amassed around two billion streams, which is unique for pop music from Germany. Her debut album “Therapy” from 2023 also impressively demonstrated what Zoe Wees stands for artistically: personal openness, inner strength, and a sound that creates both intimacy and grandeur.

In 2026, visitors can once again look forward to a diverse open-air program at Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz and the peninsula. Add to that street food, a summery atmosphere, and countless vantage points for the magical highlight of the evening: the grand pyrotechnic show over the Olympiasee, precisely choreographed to the music, which transforms the night sky into a colorful sea of lights.

Ticket sales for the 2026 Sommernachtstraum are already underway. There are two ticket categories to choose from, each offering access to all stages and the grand fireworks display. The most affordable ticket costs 40 euros per person when purchasing a group ticket for 10 or more people in Category 2. Additionally, limited VIP tickets are available, including access to the “Coubertin” restaurant, an open-air area, a rooftop terrace with a view of the fireworks, and a VIP platform directly by the lake. Tickets are available through the official sales outlets of München Ticket and Eventim.
