Advance ticket sales begin for Munich's big summer spectacle

The Sommernachtstraum will once again take over the Olympic Park on July 18, 2026. For over 20 years, the festival has been bringing a thrilling open-air atmosphere, live concerts by top acts, and one of Germany’s largest fireworks displays to the state capital. Tickets for the open-air event are now on sale.

“The Sommernachtstraum is a place where Munich comes together. Here we celebrate the diversity, the lightheartedness, and the unique spirit of our city,” says Marion Schöne, Managing Director of Olympiapark München GmbH. “We can’t wait to fill the Olympiapark once again with music, the unique fireworks, and beaming faces.”

Two stages, big emotions

On Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz and the peninsula, stars, chart favorites, and exciting newcomers will present a diverse lineup. From pop to indie, from electro to funk, the music will create a festival vibe starting at 4 p.m. “We want to offer our visitors inspiring acts and new musical discoveries. An atmosphere that can only be experienced here,” Schöne continues.

Magical moments at the Olympic Lake

When thousands gather around the lake in the evening, the sky takes center stage: The grand pyrotechnics show—precisely choreographed to rousing music—forms the emotional highlight of the day. A spine-tingling moment for families, friends, and couples—sparkling, colorful, and unforgettable.

The festival vibe you’ve been dreaming of

Whether you’re right up front by the stage, relaxing on a picnic blanket on the grassy steps, or embarking on a culinary world tour thanks to the many food trucks, everyone experiences this summer night’s dream in their own way. The Olympic Park becomes a summer oasis for thousands of people who laugh, dance, and dream together.
